Girls please help the 15.700 women who are diagnosed with breast and gynaecological cancers each year.  Girls simply register as Girls Night In hosts and then invite your female friends, workmates and family to get together for an evening. You can even do it as part of a Girls Weekend Away. Then get your friends to donate the equivalent of what they would normally have spent on a night out.
The great thing about Girls Night In is that it can be anything you want it to be. Whether it’s a chick flick night, gossip session, singing and dancing to girl tunes in the lounge room or simply sharing a meal with your nearest and dearest gal pals, basically you decide.

Light the Night is a campaign to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation and to raise awareness of leukaemia’s, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. Across Australia teams of friends, families and work colleagues will light balloons to remember, celebrate and give hope to patients and families affected by these blood cancers and disorders.
The balloons have a tiny light inside and each has a special meaning:

• Light a gold balloon to REMEMBER a loved one.
• Light a white balloon to CELEBRATE being a blood cancer survivor.
• Light a blue balloon to GIVE HOPE and show your support.

Enjoy the entertainment, food stalls and hear inspirational stories leading up to the moment when we Light the Night by lifting your balloons high into the air, followed by a gentle scenic walk together.

As you know Girls Weekends Away is a supporter of Breast Cancer awareness. So Girls some of us GWA staff are putting our bodies on the line and are participating in the Mothers Day Classic. Yes even the director is donning a pair of leggings and runners, foregoing the breakfast in bed and dragging her sorry butt out to the Tan. We will be there to show our support for the loved ones of the past, those that are undergoing treatment now and help create an environment that supports women into the future. Above all it’s about having fun with family and friends that supports a worthy cause.
