Phillip Island – Eco Resort Cafe & Bar

The Eco Resort Cafe & Bar is a part of the Phillip Island Eco Resort complex managed by Accor. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and decided to try the restaurant for dinner. As it was a warm night we sat in the outside area that overlooked the pool. The restaurant has a very rustic beachy feel and our waitress Erin was pleasant and attentive. We ordered a share platter for entree and the pork for the main. The share platter was okay and we chose the pork as we had received verbal accolades from locals that, that was the way to go. Unfortunately we were bitterley disappointed as the meal was tough and we were forced to leave most of it. The saving grace on the night was Erin, who ensured that we were well catered for with refreshments (due to the fact that we did not eat all of our meal) and cheese. Thank you Erin for your happy smile and great customer service, as with all our reviews we will probably give the eatery a second chance.

Cape Paterson

Girls we received some great feedback about a destination one of our GWA followers is passionate about. Because it sounded so much like a great Girls destination, we have decided to add it to the Web site. Thanks Eva for your contribution.

___________________________________________________________

Hi, I was just on your website, and thought my last girls weekend away destination may be of interest to you.

Cape Paterson is the perfect destination for many reasons. In the off season, the beach is practically deserted for miles. There are 3 completely different style beaches all in walking distance: bay, surf/ boogie board, serious surf, and they are all within a short walk.

We stayed at a huge house: 20 Coral St, which sleeps 14 in 5 bedrooms with an extra trundle. 2 Kitchens, 2 bathrooms, 2 lounge rooms, a gorgeous fire place and a perfect lawn in the back yard for walking bare foot and sitting, reading in the sun.

We have been going there as a group for about 6 years and we always go to Koonwarra General Store for lunch, the Cape Tavern for Dinner and Various Eateries in Inverloch. Also a must is the Tea tree walk above the beaches.

After a bit of self indulgence, a Champagne or two, and hours of talking, we never want to leave the place!

Stockdale and Leggo are the Agents for the property.

It would be great to add it to your website.

Regards,

Eva

Phillip Island – Accomodation

Girls; recently I visited the island and took a tour of some great accommodation. The Cowes properties may be a little out of the way, so you will need a car and a designated driver if you going out and drinking. There are taxis but I suggest you book early if you want to be assured of getting one. The apartments have balconies so we can chat and sip wine. Some even have ocean views. They have great kitchens, big screen TV’s and two bathrooms. The bedrooms are great and some even have their own en suite.  Cowes has 5 Townhouses. They are beautiful properties and are ideal for a girls weekend away. Both locations sleep up to 7 and there is a communal barbie.

If you want wine and chocolates on arrival call Lisa Emrose, Property manager on 0411 642 857. Remember you must be a GWA privilege card subscriber.

Phillip Island – Gulliver’s

Phillip Island Eatery

Phillip Island Eatery

When in Phillip Island why not swoop into Gullivers for Breakfast, 2,000 seagulls cannot be wrong! Now seriously girls this is a querky little eatery that sits on one of the more prominant corners in Cowes. You can eat inside with the open fireplace and rustic settings (perfect for winter)  or eat outside during the day, (at your own risk with the ever hungry seagulls).  And when I say eat out, never ever ever, leave your food unattended, otherwise the flying rats (my pet name for a seagull) will descend and indulge at your expense. I do recommend checking this eatery out and not only does it do a great breakfast (seagulls complimentary) it has a great dinner menu.
