For me the whole thing is amazing and as a Phan from way back – I find this matured Phantom more human and he has developed a vulnerability that makes him more dimensional.
He has tasted true love – and although he tries to resort to his old ways (threats etc) it is clear that his night beneath a moonless sky with Christine has left an indelible mark.

it’s a beautiful love story – Christine is torn between her childhood love – who cannot give her all that she needs and is aware of it – and the passion for her ‘angel of music’.

I laughed – I cried – I sat there stunned at the beauty of the sets and costumes and the voices of the leads – a five star experience for me!! But you are right everyone should see it and judge for themselves.
